Claire Bear Claire Bear

Claire is 6 months old today! She has a head full of hair, two bottom teeth, sits up on her own and does an army crawl! She is growing up way too fast! She is the happiest little girl and just goes with the flow! She loves to eat ,play play play, peek a boo, take baths, wrestle with daddy, giggle at her sister, give kisses, read books with mommy, feel everything, hide under the coffe table, and did I say play! She eats solids once a day, takes 3 naps, and sleeps 12 hours at night.

Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year! Two beautiful girls who are adored by so many. Jobs, health, the gospel, and amazing family and friends. Jerad's grampa was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. His grampa and my mimi are both battling lung cancer. We feel blessed to have them as such great examples in our lives and pray we may be able to give them comfort in this time.

Jerad and the girls and I spent thanksgiving with both of our families. Sophia loved the cake balls shaped like turkeys and playing with her cousin!

I spent the weekend at Jerad's parents house with the girls. Thursday night and Friday morning I was on a scavenger hunt for black Friday deals! Sat we made christmas shirts for the girls and Sunday was church and decorating his parents house for Christmas! It was nice to spend so much time with everyone!

Locked Out

Yesterday late afternoon I was setting the trash in the garage when all of a sudden the garage door slammed closed and locked! Inside Claire was in her crib and Sophia the Stinker was at the door. My heart dropped! I tried to get Sophia to turn the lock, but she couldn't figure out how to unlock it. In a panic I ran to my next door neighboor who said he could help by kicking the door open. In hind sight we could have drilled through the lock or knocked the handle off with a hammer but I was in major freak out mode. So we took the more dramatic route. My garage door is in need of serious repair and I need to keep a key on me at all times!

Sopapilla Cheesecake

Having two little girls is a roller coaster ride full of funny, pull your hair out, and sweet sweet moments! Two year olds make me laugh!

The other day I was putting a chicken in the oven and Sophia said "Look, it's a froggy!"

We were dancing to she'll be coming around the mountain and Sophia heard the horses and exclaimed "Claire Bear's awake!"

Claire loves to Talk and Giggle

Claire's Blessing

Well it was over a month ago but I finally have my pictures from Claire's blessing. All of Claire's grandparents and aunts and uncles came to celebrate her special day. Claire is an angel sent from Heaven. She loves to eat, sleep, laugh, and play. She is so darn smart and tries to mimic sounds. And she LOVES to talk talk talk all day long! She also loves to snuggle! We are so lucky to have two beautiful healthy girls!

Sophia is Two

On August 15th our beautiful, tenacious, and spirited little girl turned two. She brings such joy and laughter to our hearts and homes every day. Each morning she walks into our room bright eyed and bushy tailed announcing "all done night night"! She smothers us all with kisses and snuggles and then asks "Is oatmeal ready?". She loves to help take care of Claire, do dishes, cook, dance, sing, and play with her little toy animals! She often says "Mommy, hold you" when she wants me to pick her up and snuggle. (I love it!) She has only one speed....fast...fast...fast. When her pediatrician asked to see her walk she slowed down to a jog! She is a petite little thing in the 25th percentile for height and weight (25 lbs, 33 in).

We had so much fun at her under the sea b-day party! She LOVED her CUPCAKES! She threw a fit because she had to wait to eat her cupcake. After she settled down we had hot dogs, chips, dips, and watermelon. The kids then played outside in the pool and beach ball sprinkler. Everyone had so much fun. Sophia opened so many wonderful gifts: books, clothes, movies, a princess suitcase, puppets, rockin shoes, dress up clothes, her new favorite bear "ooooh" who sings CREEPY songs when you push his tummy (our favorite new toy too, thanks Lee lee), and of course her new tricycle!!!!!! We loved seeing all of our grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We missed a few of our friends this year, but hope to see them next time!

Sophia you are very loved!

Playtime is the Best!

Sophia and Claire LOOOOOOVE to PLAY!

Train Ride

Jerad has the week off and we are having fun!!! Today we went on the mini train ride at Trinity Park! Sophia was soooooooo excited to see the choo choo! She also loved chasing the birds. She fell down and scraped her knee but was a trooper! She got right back up and was chasing birds again! Claire bear slept on the train, until it started raining! It was a cool and beautiful day. We met my dad for lunch at Pot Belly's and then went shopping! Momma got some new clothes!!!!

I loved the way Sophia smiled when she saw the choo choo! She is a precious gem!

A Streaker and a Leaker

Wow! Being a mother of two is A LOT of work! Sophia is a very very (did I say very?) energetic two year old, full of personality and spunk! The other day I caught her naked on her potty putting on my deoderant! What a silly gal! She also likes to take off her clothes in less than 30 seconds and hide them! So random! Potty training is on her terms and may take a while! She knows what she wants and peeing in the potty is not her thing right now. I am so learning patience!

Claire had her two month check up and was given a clean bill of health. She is 13 lbs and 23 7/8 inches! She is in the 95th for wieight and heighth and 80th for head! She is growing perfectly. She is an angel baby and so happy all the time. When she gets fussy it means it is time for a nap! After her shots is the grumpiest she's ever been (poor baby). She is now on reflux medicine and hopefully this will help her not to spit up mid nap! She is eating every 2 1/2 to three hours and takes several naps during the day. She is smiling, cooing, and ROLLING OVER! Yes at two months old she is rolling over from back to belly.

The STREAKER

While at her two month check up... I was holding little bear talking to the doc when I turn around to find Sophia completely undressed! She got naked so fast...it was shocking! I had to bribe her with a sucker to get her clothes back on!

Life is crazy, but sooooooo FUNNY!

Claire at 7 weeks

Sophia at 7 weeks

Claire Bear

It is amazing to see the uniqueness of each child from the early weeks of life! Claire bear is snuggly, even tempered, sensitive, loves to eat, and loves to sleep. She is a lot quieter than Sophia was at this age. Claire is a quiet observer, soaking in every ounce of what is going on around her when she is awake. She likes being on a routine and for the most part is an easy going kind of gal. Most of the time you can lay her in her crib for a nap and she drifts off to sleepy land (sometimes it takes 5-10 min of crying-not too shabby)! We love to snuggle our chunky little bear!

Sopapilla

Sophia is definitely TWO! She is so full of energy and always on the go---non stop! I love her vivacious personality! She loves the pool! She never stops talking and loves to sing. We have had so much fun playing this summer! There are so many things I love about two year olds...the imagination, wanting to be independent, the laughter. The rest of it I would like to maroon on a desert island!

It is so hard to keep my house the way I want it with a toddler and a newborn, but at least we are having crazy fun!!!!!!!

Claire Elizabeth

She's here! We are so excited to welcome home little Claire. She is a gem and her big sister adores her!!! We welcomed Claire into the world on June 1st. She was 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long! A lot bigger than her sister!!! All is wonderful and everyone is healthy. The only battle thus far is sleep deprivation! Getting up every 2 to three hours at night and only getting sleep in two hour blocks is new to me, seeing as I had to wake Sophia up to eat! She is a very content girl when her belly is full...so I have no complaints! We love her so!

A Baby, a Toddler, and One tired Momma

This pregnancy has flown by and I can't believe our little girl will be here soon. Today Jerad, Sophia, and I got to see baby D at my 36 week sono. She was just precious, about 6 lbs right now, and has lots of hair already! We can't wait to meet her. I am ready for her to come and have started to relax and slow down on the EXTREME NESTING! Now all I want to do is eat yummy food, SLEEP, SLEEP, SLEEP, play with Sophia and snuggle up to Jerad. I was in hyper crazy nesting mode for a while but now that I pretty much have what I can do ready, I am actually taking time to relax. Pre-School ends next Thursday and the baby could really come anytime after next week. I'm due June 3rd, but I think she'll be a couple of weeks early!

Sophia

Sophia is almost 21 months now and is talking up a storm. She is putting together sentences so well now! She loves to push her babies in the stroller, bathe them, feed them, and dress them. She is also addicted to shoes (such a girl)! She will ask random people to take off their shoes so she can put them on! Her exact words are "shoe off" (in a demanding tone). She is a dare-devil and loves to jump off of her bed, the couch, the play set outside, anything really.

Her favorites are: Daddy, blanky, ice cream, and oatmeal! She loves to pretend to be animals, play with cars, color, read, and go to the park! She also loves to help clean and cook. When she is stirring she puts her hand on her hip just like mom! Too adorable.

Easter

Easter was a blast this year! We stayed the night at Jerad's parents and had an easter egg hunt that morning! Aubree and Sophia were so cute, running around collecting eggs. Sophia wanted the eggs to go back into the egg carton instead of her basket, silly girl! They loved checking out all the goodies in their baskets and eating a yummy breakfast (homeade biscuts...I can hear myself salivating!) After spending the morning with Jerad's parents, grandma jo, jenny, and mandy and aubree, we headed to Mimi's. Sophia loved hunting for easter eggs in Mimi and Grandad's back yard. Everytime we go over to Mimi's she thinks it's time to hunt eggs! I can't wait to spend Easter with both of my girls next year!

Sleeping Beauty

We finally made the switch and Sophia is now in a big girl bed. Baby girl # 2 is due June 3rd so we wanted to make sure she was adjusted to her new bed before the baby came. The first night she knocked on the door and cried for about 15 minutes. We scooped the little chicklett up, put her in bed, and gave her kisses! She proceeded to knock on the door and cry for mommy for another 30 minutes. We scooped her up, put her in bed, and gave her kisses! Then a miracle happened! She didn't get out of the bed the rest of the night! Yeah! Now she sleeps in her bed every night with no problems!

Today at naptime I walked in Sophia's room to check on her and found the little angel fast asleep in her glider. Soooo adorable, my snoring princess.

30 weeks and Counting

My bestie Nicole took my maternity pics on Thursday! How I love them so! Here are just a few of the wonderful pics she took. To check out more of her work go to pickleposh.com

This pregnancy has flown by. I have felt great (for the most part) and enjoy all the kicks and love taps from baby girl. Sophia has no idea what is in store for her, but I have a feeling that neither do I!!! She loves babies, baby dolls, and taking care of mom and dad. I guess I'll just have to worry about her loving the baby a little too much! I still haven't started on the babies room, I have the decor just haven't done anything with it!

Nesting has also hit me! The unfinished room is bugging me, I scrubbed all the baseboards in my house and cleaned and dusted all the windows, revamped my 72 hour kit, and am waiting for Jerad to get back so he can help me with the baby's room on saturday.
