Claire at 7 weeks

Sophia at 7 weeks

Claire Bear

It is amazing to see the uniqueness of each child from the early weeks of life! Claire bear is snuggly, even tempered, sensitive, loves to eat, and loves to sleep. She is a lot quieter than Sophia was at this age. Claire is a quiet observer, soaking in every ounce of what is going on around her when she is awake. She likes being on a routine and for the most part is an easy going kind of gal. Most of the time you can lay her in her crib for a nap and she drifts off to sleepy land (sometimes it takes 5-10 min of crying-not too shabby)! We love to snuggle our chunky little bear!

Sopapilla

Sophia is definitely TWO! She is so full of energy and always on the go---non stop! I love her vivacious personality! She loves the pool! She never stops talking and loves to sing. We have had so much fun playing this summer! There are so many things I love about two year olds...the imagination, wanting to be independent, the laughter. The rest of it I would like to maroon on a desert island!

It is so hard to keep my house the way I want it with a toddler and a newborn, but at least we are having crazy fun!!!!!!!

Claire Elizabeth

She's here! We are so excited to welcome home little Claire. She is a gem and her big sister adores her!!! We welcomed Claire into the world on June 1st. She was 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long! A lot bigger than her sister!!! All is wonderful and everyone is healthy. The only battle thus far is sleep deprivation! Getting up every 2 to three hours at night and only getting sleep in two hour blocks is new to me, seeing as I had to wake Sophia up to eat! She is a very content girl when her belly is full...so I have no complaints! We love her so!

A Baby, a Toddler, and One tired Momma

This pregnancy has flown by and I can't believe our little girl will be here soon. Today Jerad, Sophia, and I got to see baby D at my 36 week sono. She was just precious, about 6 lbs right now, and has lots of hair already! We can't wait to meet her. I am ready for her to come and have started to relax and slow down on the EXTREME NESTING! Now all I want to do is eat yummy food, SLEEP, SLEEP, SLEEP, play with Sophia and snuggle up to Jerad. I was in hyper crazy nesting mode for a while but now that I pretty much have what I can do ready, I am actually taking time to relax. Pre-School ends next Thursday and the baby could really come anytime after next week. I'm due June 3rd, but I think she'll be a couple of weeks early!

Sophia

Sophia is almost 21 months now and is talking up a storm. She is putting together sentences so well now! She loves to push her babies in the stroller, bathe them, feed them, and dress them. She is also addicted to shoes (such a girl)! She will ask random people to take off their shoes so she can put them on! Her exact words are "shoe off" (in a demanding tone). She is a dare-devil and loves to jump off of her bed, the couch, the play set outside, anything really.

Her favorites are: Daddy, blanky, ice cream, and oatmeal! She loves to pretend to be animals, play with cars, color, read, and go to the park! She also loves to help clean and cook. When she is stirring she puts her hand on her hip just like mom! Too adorable.

Easter

Easter was a blast this year! We stayed the night at Jerad's parents and had an easter egg hunt that morning! Aubree and Sophia were so cute, running around collecting eggs. Sophia wanted the eggs to go back into the egg carton instead of her basket, silly girl! They loved checking out all the goodies in their baskets and eating a yummy breakfast (homeade biscuts...I can hear myself salivating!) After spending the morning with Jerad's parents, grandma jo, jenny, and mandy and aubree, we headed to Mimi's. Sophia loved hunting for easter eggs in Mimi and Grandad's back yard. Everytime we go over to Mimi's she thinks it's time to hunt eggs! I can't wait to spend Easter with both of my girls next year!

Sleeping Beauty

We finally made the switch and Sophia is now in a big girl bed. Baby girl # 2 is due June 3rd so we wanted to make sure she was adjusted to her new bed before the baby came. The first night she knocked on the door and cried for about 15 minutes. We scooped the little chicklett up, put her in bed, and gave her kisses! She proceeded to knock on the door and cry for mommy for another 30 minutes. We scooped her up, put her in bed, and gave her kisses! Then a miracle happened! She didn't get out of the bed the rest of the night! Yeah! Now she sleeps in her bed every night with no problems!

Today at naptime I walked in Sophia's room to check on her and found the little angel fast asleep in her glider. Soooo adorable, my snoring princess.
